Forum Drama

Amateur theatre is being revived in Blandford Forum by and enthusiastic new team, keen to encourage drama in the wider community in and around Blandford, welcoming members of all ages and varying talents.  A well attended AGM resulted in a new Committee being formed under the Chairmanship of Lisa Morgan with Terence Dear Creative Director.  The earliest known records for the organisation stretch back to the late 19th Century when it thrived under the patronage of Lord Portman, then known as the Blandford Operatic Society, it became in turn the Blandford Amateur Dramatic Society , The Blandford Players and in recent years, Blandford Amateur Dramatics.  We are keen to grow and we are involved in many local community events as well as putting on our own productions.  If you are interested in joining Forum Drama in any capacity, whether it is back stage, costumes or as an actor.  Please contact us today!  We meet at the Parish Centre, in Blandford Town Centre on Thursday nights at 7pm.
