RVS (Royal Voluntary Service)

Our purpose is to deliver practical support through the power of volunteering, so that people can get more out of life.  Local activities include the Home Library Service and the Blandford Community Hospital Trolley Service.  The Home Library Service works with Blandford Library and welcomes volunteer and contact from residents who are housebound and would like library books delivered to their home without charge.  The service is a partnership between Dorset County Council’s Library Service and the Royal Voluntary Service.
Anyone interested in the service should contact either Blandford Library on 01258 452075 or Maria in the Royal Voluntary Service (Dorchester Office) on 01305 236666 or email: maria.jacobson@royalvoluntaryservice.org.uk
The Blandford Hospital Trolley Service is supplied by the Poole Hospital Royal Voluntary Service shop.  Volunteers interested in joining the Blandford team should contact the shop manager on 01202448164 or email: coraliejenkins@royalvoluntaryservice.org.uk for a local contact in Blandford.
