Close of Nominations time and date:  4pm on Monday 20th December 2021 (passed)

Last date for Registration:  Tuesday 4th January 2022 (passed)

Last Date for Postal requests:  5pm on Wednesday 5th January 2022 (passed) 

Last Date for Proxy requests:  5pm on Wednesday 12th January 2022

Election date:  Thursday 20th January 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

Pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972, that John Stayt, formerly a Member of the above named Town Council, has ceased to be a Member of the Town Council, and that a vacancy now exists in the office of Councillor for the Town Council.

If within 14 days after the date of this notice (i.e. no later than 23 November 2021)  a request for an election to fill the vacancy is made to the Returning Officer, Electoral Services, Dorset Council, County Hall, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1XJ or by email to elections@dorsetcouncil.gov.uk by TEN electors who are registered in the Town Ward where the vacancy has arisen, an election will be held to fill the vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

If an election is called, it will take place not later than 31 January 2022.
