We are thrilled that Gerald Dickens, the great-great-grandson of the author Charles Dickens, will be returning to the Corn Exchange to perform A Christmas Carol this November!
Using his own adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic Christmas tale, Gerald Dickens plays over 30 characters using vocal and physical talents to bring each scene vividly to life.

Join us in Woodhouse Gardens on Friday 7th August for a morning of free summer holiday entertainment staring Jamie Jigsaw.

10am – 1pm.

A circus workshop starts the entertainment where both children and adults can have ago at juggling, plate spinning, diabolo, ribbon twirling and more.

Followed by the 30 minute Jamie Jigsaw magic and juggling show. packed with funny magic, hilarious juggling, lots of silliness and audience participation.

And lastly… Balloon modelling! The children can each take home a balloon including balloon dogs, swords, laser guns, ladybirds, flowers and teddy bears, almost anything they can imagine.

Refreshments will be available in aid of the Mayor’s chosen charities.

For the 9th year running, the Town Council is producing a calendar to raise money for the Mayor’s chosen charities. This year, the charities are Blandford Opportunity Group and Dorset KPA (Kidney Patient Association).

The theme is Photographs of the town, so we’re looking for your favourite photos of Blandford Forum.

Whether you’re an experienced photographer or simply enjoy taking pictures on your phone, we’d love to see your entries. The calendar is open to all ages.
