The Town Council is delighted to announce that works started on Monday 13th May 2019 to extend and improve the pavilion in Woodhouse Gardens. For many years, the pavilion has been popular with community groups, local clubs and individuals and is used for everything from poetry, painting and crafts to formal training, coffee mornings, birthday parties and christenings.
The Council will be funding the majority of improvements but would especially like to thank the National Lottery’s Awards for All Fund for the grant of £10,000, helping to make this project possible.
The extension will create larger, accessible toilets, a bigger kitchen area with facilities for hot and cold food production and storage space for regular users to lock away their equipment. The build will take approximately 14 weeks and, during this time, the whole of Woodhouse Gardens will be closed to the public for safety reasons.
